Micro Laptop

By

After 3 years since its initial release and introduction to the computer technology market, the smallest micro laptop which is named as FliStart 1.0 still has its charm and ultra portable features to show the worldwide market.

This efficient and very small electronic device is actually neither a hand-held gadget not a UMPC. However, it is a complex computer having a size that is small enough to guaranty both usability and portability in something that is less bulky than your standard-sized laptops for sale.

Everything about FlipSide is small. From its cute display monitor that measures 5.6 inches down to its little keyboard, nothing is big or even average in size; nothing except its whooping price of $2,000!

FlipStart has everything you will need in a small laptop, be it wireless internet connectivity, usual computer applications, robust communication options, and a wide array of entertainment choices.

General Overview of FlipStart 1.0

This electronic device has the same clamshell shape and covering as that of your usual notebook computers. The only things that is obviously different is its general size which is 5.9 inches (width) x 4.5 inches (height) x 1.6 inches (thickness) and its weight which is just about 1.8 pounds; that already includes its extended battery.

However, it is kind of larger and heavier as compares to Sony Vaio UX180P and OQO's model 02, and it has a larger screen and keyboard.

Aside from that, it also has a 1024 x 600 pixel (SVGA) primary display, a 1.9 inches and 220 x 176 pixel external screen that displays software information from Microsoft Outlook such as the owner or the user's calendar, email, and contact.

This micro laptop runs under 1.1 GHz Intel Pentium M processor and is already installed with either Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Business. It also uses an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator.

As for its memory capacity, it has 512 MB of RAM and a 30GB hard drive that is shock-mounted.

Regarding its wireless connectivity, it has a built-in wi-fi, bluetooth, and of course a 3G cellular wireless standard EVDO Rev A. Service that is provided by Sprint-Nextel.

It also has its own USB 2.0 port, a VGA port, and an Ethernet port.

It has its own exterior FlipStart InfoPane which easily and instantly provides low power access to Microsoft applications. It also has a specialized navigator that shows access to most frequently used information and application. Because it has a small size, some information may be difficult to read which is why it has a specialized zoom option to enlarge details that are displayed on its monitor.

As for its optional accessories, it has its power adapters, its FlipStart Snap Camera, and other useful accessories for better customization.

Indeed, this small notebook is considered a super compact and fully capable personal computer that is really proven to be useful to both busy students and working professionals alike. With this innovative product of technology, what else can you ask for? (Except for its quite expensive price of course)
